The project encompasses nutteries, a developing food forest, and a series of integrated water systems - each element designed in conversation with the ecology of the woodland beyond. Where many projects treat productive and naturalistic planting as separate concerns, here they are inseparable: the canopy layers of hazel and sweet chestnut shade the same ground that filters water into the land, and the woodland margin is managed as much as it is respected.
